TVS ties up with BMW Motorrad to make electric vehicles

TVS has invested in Indian electric automobile startup Ultraviolette and with this the company has made it clear that TVS can make a big difference in the electric two-wheeler market in the coming times. Not only this, now the latest news has come out that TVS Motor has joined hands with BMW for electric vehicles. Under this partnership, TVS Motor will manufacture electric vehicles as well as help in exports. Apart from this, the two companies can reportedly develop electric vehicles together.

This partnership between TVS Motor and BMW Announcement TVS itself shared through its Twitter handle. The company wrote that (translated) “TVS Motor Company and BMW Motorrad announced the extension of their cooperation agreement for future technology and electric vehicles.”

Speaking on the occasion, TVS Motor Company’s JMD Sudarshan Venu said that the first product through this partnership will be introduced in the next 24 months and further to this, Markus Schram, Head, BMW Motorrad said that the product will be for the global market.

The agreement stipulates that BMW TVS Motor will design and develop future BMW Motorrad products with high quality, supply chain management and industrialization within the company’s purview. Upcoming exclusive products from both companies will be developed on these common platforms, and the companies will retail their products globally.
