Tafcop Consumer Portal- Complaint against SIM card issued in your name without information


According to a report, it has been told by intelligence agencies that some criminals in the country are misusing telecom services. Apart from this, many cases of fraud through different SIMs have also been reported.

The Department of Telecommunications (DOT) Telecom Analytics for Fraud Management and Consumer Protection Portal has given many facilities to the users. tafcop.dgtelecom.gov.in has complete data on all mobile numbers operating across the country. Through this you can easily find out how many SIMs are in your ID. If an unknown SIM card or number is running on your ID, then a complaint can also be lodged through this portal. Now, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has fixed the number of SIM cards for an individual. You can quickly access the information on the Tafcop consumer portal launched by the Indian Department of Telecom.

Through this, incidents of harassment of people due to wrong use of SIM card will be curbed. To find out how many SIMs are currently running in your name, you need to visit the Tafcop consumer portal launched by the Indian Department of Telecom. This is a portal with the help of which you can easily find out how many mobile numbers are active in your name. The complete list of these numbers will come in front of you, that too in just less than a minute.

Do you want to know how many SIM cards are issued in your name? You can know it easily. DoT has launched a portal named TAFFCOOP Consumer Portal where you can get the details. The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has taken several measures to protect the interests of the Telecom Service Providers (TSPs) by ensuring proper allocation of telecom resources to the customers and ensuring reduction in frauds. As per the extant guidelines, individual mobile customers can register a maximum of nine mobile connections in their name. The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) on December 7 asked telecom companies to re-verify customers having more than nine mobile SIMs in the country. This number has been fixed at six in Jammu and Kashmir, Assam and North East.

Find out in the easy steps given below;

Step 1: Visit TAFCOP Portal – https://tafcop.dgtelecom.gov.in/

Step 2: Please ensure that you have entered the correct address. You will see an input field in the center of the homepage, and click on “Get OTP” button.

Step 3: Soon, you will receive an OTP from DoT. Enter the OTP and click on the “Validate” button.

Step 4: If the OTP verification was successful, you will see a list of mobile numbers issued to you along with your Aadhaar details.

Step 5: Look at the numbers carefully. If you do not recognize any of them, or if you do not use a number anymore, you can report them to DoT from the portal itself.

Step 6: To report a number, select the checkbox to the left of the number, and “This is not my number”. Now click on the report box at the bottom.

Step 7: Now the report will be registered and you will get a Ticket ID reference number.

Currently, this TafCop consumer portal is available for the consumers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Soon it will be launched for all the consumers of the country. This website has been developed to help the customers, to check the number of mobile connections working in their name and to take necessary action to regularize their additional mobile connections. However, the primary responsibility of handling the Customer Acquisition Form (CAF) rests with the service providers.
