Ola S1 electric scooter customers will get free upgrades on the S1 Pro model priced at Rs 1.3 lakh


The Ola S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters have started delivering at customers’ homes, but in the recent few days, many customers from across the country have started receiving complaints about the quality of the base model, the S1. Perhaps this could be one of the reasons why the company has introduced a great upgrade offer for the customers, under which Ola S1 customers can upgrade their scooters to S1 Pro for free. However, there are some conditions in this offer, which we are explaining in detail below.

Ola has informed that Ola S1 electric scooter customers can upgrade their scooters for free, subject to the condition that the upgrade is only for the hardware and not for the software. If customers want to unlock the software present in the S1 Pro as well, then they will have to pay Rs 30,000 separately.

Now if you are wondering what is the difference between the two models in hardware, then let us know that the Ola S1 model comes with a 2.98kWh battery pack, while the Pro model gets a battery pack of 3.97kWh capacity. This makes a difference in range. The other difference lies in the features, in which the software plays a major role. Hyper Mode is available in the Ola S1 Pro model, which is not given in the standard model. Apart from this, there are also features like hill hold, cruise control and voice assistance. If the S1 user wants all these features, then he will have to pay an additional payment of 30 thousand rupees.

Let us tell you, the ex-showroom price of Ola S1 is Rs 1 lakh, while the price of S1 Pro is Rs 1.3 lakh. If S1 customers pay 30 thousand rupees, then their scooter will be equal to the S1 Pro model.

The range of Ola S1 Pro is 181 km as per the company’s claim. It takes 4 hours 48 minutes for its battery to be fully charged from zero. Also, the company claims that it can achieve a top speed of 115 km/h. Whereas, the standard Ola S1 has a range of 121 km and a top speed of 90 km. It takes 6 hours 30 minutes for full charge.
